Albondigas Mexicanas (Mexican Meatballs) 

One of my favorite dishes as a child was the Mexican Meatballs that my grandma (Mama Oli) use to make. In fact, it is one of my family’s favorite dishes, so much so, that my grandma didn’t make them too many times. The reason was that: either she had to make like 200 or we would fight over them—it was worse than playing monopoly.  I asked her to share the recipe with me so I can share it with you gals. Enjoy! 

I Have Nothing to Wear: Update

January is my time to reflect and assess: finances, health, habits. I like to stop, take a breath and evaluate what I am doing and whether it still makes sense. Last fall I needed to clear out my closet and decided to give the capsule wardrobe a try (I Have Nothing to Wear). If you are not familiar, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of 30-40 essential, classic pieces that coordinate with each other to make a multitude of different outfits. It took me a while to whittle down my multi-size collection of clothes to decide what my capsule would contain, but once I committed it was on!

Rest

and on the 7th day God rested. 

 He rested. 

 He didn’t need to.  He chose to.  The day of rest is part of the seven days of creation.  There were not six days; there were seven.  The actual rest is part of the work.  When God created, and said, “It is good,” the rest was part of that.  Rest is good. 

2020 Vision: First Love
